I mentioned this when he got canned at Pitt 2 weeks ago and folks didn't seem too interested. has anything changed?

    what's changed? The head coach.

I'm not against it, but probably a money component we wouldn't put in and a power factor wanny wouldn't accept.

Being as Rivera's entire four year deal is almost exactly what we paid for one year of staff this year, we should have some money to spend on coaches.

As a HC? No, i wouldnt be on board with that. See Miami Dolphins.

As a DC for Rivera? They have a history and you know Ron is still gonna be hands on so yeah, i can get on board with that.

I keep seeing he's in demand and a likely prospect for us. I don't like the idea but for no reason other than a gut feeling. Seems like he's been a lot of places and never brings much success with him. Also doesn't seem logical if Rivera is going to be heavily involved with the defense. Anybody have any insight?

possibly a stronger DC name than I really expected. Not against him, not at all.

He's supposed to want the assistant head coach role, not sure if that means AHC/DC or position coach/DC.

I would see this type role being more likely for the OC, not DC. Rivera wants someone he can mold for DC, he wants someone who can handle offense all on their own.

At least, thats what he indicated yesterday.
