has anyone accused cam of being smart? he's got plenty of character/intelligence issues -- no way he's a panther. he's got raider or bengal written all over him.

first-round mistakes are first-round mistakes -- they'll all be relative.

you cant take cam and not have the infrastructure there to coach him up. you can't just unleash him on the league and expect him to go win games. need to hire offensive-minded coaches THEN get your qb.

If they pick Newton I think I'm gonna find a new team to waste my energy on.

In other words, he's good at the God-given stuff, but the things he has to work at, not so good. An NFL QB with poor accuracy, work ethic, character, footwork, mechanics. HELL NO.

    Don't Laugh

If you want a big, strong-armed QB who can run, then forget the hype and draft the kid from Nevada in the THIRD round.

If you want the smartest QB in the draft with the best work ethic and the one who showed improvement (ability to grow), draft Ricky Stanzi of Iowa.

I think we should trade down because someone will fall in love with Peterson , Bowers, or Fairley. We will prolly go offense, and with no QB rated higher than 20th (scout.com), then the obvious solution is add a second and get a WR. Smith is 32 people. THat is 88 in undersized speed WR years. Before we add a QB, give him weapons.

Now trade for a QB. Orton or Kolb. Offer Goodson or DW and a 5th rounder for Orton, or Goodson/DW & a third rounder for Kolb. (DW!! NO!! --I say, CLAUSEN!! NO!!!)
