he's shrewd. i wouldn't cross him. i think he wants to win. fox wasn't good enough. he wants a winning program. he gave him long enough in his opinion. i think marty's leash is about 4 inches long right now.

What is the background on "this Morgan chic"? Was he serious when he was bitching her out? I missed the first few minutes of the PC.

And yeah, the "pretty nice guy...I'd be cordial" comment about Harbaugh was just plain bizarre...I was expecting him to say something like "he worked for me back in 2001 and was a pretty class act". What he said was definitely a buzzkill. :veryangry:

What's wrong with being just like Steelers? They're the best franchise in the NFL, period. Have been for decades.

Agreed...Marty looked sorta scared shitless. Good, he should be.

yeah, he looked like he's been having to sit in front of that old vulture for a long time recently, sitting there, waiting for him to make his point.

Overall, I like his honesty and openness,,,,,,, said point blank the reason he let Fox go was "only 3 winning seasons in 9 years, and none back to back".

I also understand why they need to keep any negotiations (if any are currently going on) hush until everything is final...

... on the down side, while I really like JR, I wasn't particularly impressed with how he responded about Harbaugh, also didn't like their constant comments about hiring a current NFL assistant (unless it was a deliberate smokescreen),,, and I agree he should've just left the Morgan chic alone.

Hopefully we will all get some news very soon that he couldn't share with us today, and hopefully we will be ok.
