I don't watch espn, but from what I've heard and read, a low priced NFL assistant is all the talk

Except for the local writers who say that money won't be an issue. the national media keeps beating the table on this 'cheap' angle...and that is probably why they saying it is unlikely we are talking to harbaugh. there's apparently already a bidding war and he's too expensive...allegedly.

like magnus said...no one really knows at this point.

Why do I have a feeling Dungy is the next coach

I'd be happy with that, said that before. It's unlikely but I'd like it.

Dungy would be huge. Built two Super Bowl teams and imo his standing/rep in the league has only increased since his retirement. I don't see it happening either but that would be a great hire for me.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if some low paid DC gets the job. And he hires another 3 yards and a cloud of dust OC.

it doesn't mean we can't be successful. And, if it's done right, defense and running game is a great fit for what we're doing and what we have on roster already.

But, it would need to be better run.

Too many teams, and definitely fans, expect too much change. Go from a run O to a pass one? You might be waiting a while for success. Same with a 3-4 change. You look at what you need to do better, and you get better.

No, it could be successful there is no denying that. But you have to be able to throw the ball around a bit too these days in the NFL. I'm not saying we go to a pass happy offense, cause frankly, we don't have the players for that. But I'd like to see a more diversified offense that isn't predictable like ours has been. All that said though, whoever gets the job will still have to come up with a QB, Luck or a veteran, or we're in the same boat we are now. After seeing Clausen play so many games I'm not sure he's the guy.

Dungy would be great, he probably brings Meeks back if he is hired. I doubt it happens though.

I am as curious to see who we get for OC and DC as I am for HC. That is going to have a lot of impact, IMO.

well, i think dungy understands what it means to have a top tier qb now, and i'd really like us to at least attempt to do that, even if we fail.
