Would you resign him? Even with Luck part of me would consider it. I'm just thinking there needs to be some sort of veteran presence and at this point its going to be limited as to what's available. Then again if Harbaugh is the coach it may not be necessary. But I'm thinking what would be a cheap veteran presence, and while he hasn't seen a ton of time he has seen some and can be had at a low price.

I like Moore, and always have been a bit of an advocate. He looked terrible this year, probably due to a number of uncontrollable factors. But, with Harbaugh, yes, I would keep him, as he could be had for cheap.

I would set my depth chart, in dream-land, as:

    1. Luck
    2. Moore

    3. Clausen

Moore hardly could be considered a "veteran presence". The fact is that the Jimmay has as much game experience. Whoever the new coach will be will likely want a veteran with experience in his chosen offensive system or one similar.

Difference is Moore spent time hopefully learning SOMETHING about the game from Jake Delhomme, Ivan Drago, and Vinny Testeverde. Clausen didn't have that chance.

For me, it would depend on who the head coach (OC) is and Moore's familiarity with the system. If it is something he has experience in, we might as well keep the veteran guy we have. If it is not a system he's familiar with, then we need to get a vet that has experience in that system.

You could have Tom Brady as the Panther QB and the results would be the same because of a mamby pamby O-line, sad play calling and a crappy team attitude. This team sucks because of WAY more than a struggling QB.

Well yeah, but a new coach would sorta address these issues.

I'd be open to it but would certainly look at other options if we were gonna keep Clausen.

Not the least of which was his longer exposure to Scherer. :puke:
