hopefully by us on his next contract.

Been waiting for this from him, expecting it. Glad he's realizing his potential.

He's been steady, for sure, but I'm loving his play this year, particularly with the chips stacked against the defense.

Hardy is a fucking steal, as well.

it'd suck to not retain him. I do wish he'd exploded a year earlier or more, he just always started the season slow.
6 games with a sack in a row is pretty fucking consistent.

And he's what, one of 4 guys to record a 10 sack season here? At 11.5 he's exceptional given that we're the ones playing from behind.

It'll probably be expensive - like, holy shit, I can't believe we just paid that guy that kind of money type money, but this seems like the type guy you keep.

Or we could let him, Davis/Anderson, and in a year, Beason, walk so we can be all OMG 3-4!!!!!!!!!11

So before I switched back to an internet broadcast of the radio (godawful), I was listening to Bucky Brooks on the nfl.com half-ass-telecast blowing sunshine up Peppers' ass as a DPOY candidate, yikes. Killing our staff for how we weren't getting the most out of him. But he hasn't reached 10 sacks, and might not. Right now he's got the 3rd worst year of his career sack-wise.

Peppers will probably be like Kevin Greene. Sign elsewhere and then get cut and return to the Panthers :WEFreezingColdHL1:

    3. The Carolina Panthers have a ton of problems and are certainly short on high-end players, but they do have one guy whom everyone out there needs to know about: Charles Johnson. He quickly has become one of the better 4-3 defensive ends in this league. Even in the Panthers' losing effort Thursday at Heinz Field, Johnson consistently gave the Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive line problems. In fact, he has been giving every offensive line problems during the second half of the season. Johnson is an excellent leverage player who is consistently lower than the man blocking him. His effort and motor are exceptional, and Johnson has developed a nice variety of pass-rush moves. Johnson also is strong holding the point at runs right at him and has the speed to make plays in pursuit from the back side. Many of you out there don't watch the Panthers -- and I can understand that -- but you do need to know about Johnson.

I don't think we lack for stars, actually. Defensively we really just have the one but that's our best unit. Offensively you have three guys. That's not bad for a team without a QB.

If we retain our players we have the makings of a nice defense. If we had a little more at DT and the offense would do its part then it can be very good.
