Was a good QB for App State in college playoff level football.

Is just as good or better than St Pierre or Pike at the QB position.

He is a less talented version of Pat White, whose experiment isn't doing so well. He can't throw at an NFL level. He can't throw at a BCS level, or he'd have been a BCS level college player. He's not better than Pike against this level of defensive talent. And he's 5'11" 187lbs.

Dude is a great athlete, but he isn't even close to having NFL QB ability.

Well, we're not even close to being an NFL level team right now. I would bet good money on any decent college team to thrash the Panthers at this point.

But also sadly, he may get a chance tomorrow. I have a feeling St. Pierre and Pike may both be carried out on stretchers. Edwards might not be far behind. :frown:

Seriously, I think most top 10 college D's could hold our offense to 3 and out. Sad.

You are not going to put Edwards in a traditional offense and have it be successful. You are not going to design a wildcat offense for him that will be successful over the long term. What you can do is design a wildcat offense that you mix in with your regular offense from time to time to shake things up. It will probably be successful from time to time and at the very least give the other team something else to prepare for. Letting Edwards play now would help him develop into a better player for the wildcat. That might yield some long term success. The idea that either Pike or St. Pete are going to develop into quality starters in the traditional offense is pretty shaky. Our future at QB is either Clausen or someone not on the roster. Why not develop the wildcat since we really can not develop the QB for our traditional offense?

Who the hell knows if Edwards is ready. He's been active what 2 times? Throw away a 2nd for a player that is never active

I will say this... St Pierre did run the Ravens practice team for two seasons... meaning he practiced for two seasons against the Ravens 1st team Defense. Not saying that equals win, but it does give a lot more wieght to the fact he's better prepared to play this Sunday then Pike

I get it, Fox is playing the waiver wire for match ups like you do in fantasy football. I assume will drop St. Pete and pick up someone new next week.
