    Question: Say we continue at the awesome pace we're going and somehow wind up with the #1 pick in 2011. Do we take Andrew Luck or hope Clausen develops since we spent a #2 on him?

    Depends on who's coaching, but presumably Weis will want to keep his guy. If there really is a rookie wage scale, I'd be all over trading down to grab some help on defense or, since Gross has been pissing me off lately, a LT.

    wildcat isn't going to save us and he's not going to be our QB. A couple more trick plays won't change that we're awful either.

    we definitely need line but we're stuck with Gross.

    I'd say that whoever is hired would come with the Clausen caveat, but I'm sure part of the hire with Fox is an assumption he was told to make Weinke work. I'm not against Weis but he's got that 3-4 thing.

    Weren't you Clausen's biggest advocate a few weeks ago? Now you want him gone?

    ETA - Surely you had to know that the rook would struggle (especially behind THIS line and with THESE receivers)?

    Weis would be too expensive. JR wants a coord. to keep costs down.
