That Cincy game was in a big power outage after an ice storm. Mini-natural disaster. Doesn't count as lack of fan interest. This one will if the tix aren't sold.

I'll go, and it'll probably be another ugly game. But I'm just going to keep going until they win. Fuck it.

baltimore, 1st home game after 1-15. I went to that one because I couldn't stand not seeing a panthers game. It won't happen this year. Owner doesn't spend money, neither will I.

Speaking of spending money, when JR upgraded the replay screens/tv or whatever a coupla years ago, they were upgraded to 1997 specs and are still worst in the league, nearly, especially considering when they were done. Why did he even bother, other than the fact they may now be HD? What a waste, they still suck almost as bad as they did before.

I agree, I was pretty hyped about hearing about the new screens but when I finally saw them I was not impressed. They were nothing compared to what I saw in Cincy, and honestly other than size I couldn't tell any difference at all.

Humpy is getting ready to make JR look pretty silly with his racing screen.

That was an ugly ass game, but the ending--and the feeling of hope after a miserable season--it was euphoric.

Again, the glass-half-full guy that I try to be gives me hope that this is how it will be again with this team.

Owner fires coach after two bad seasons.
Owner hires unknown coach who knows football.
Owner wants to galvanize fanbase and energize stadium.

Everyone around here, including me, gets cranky when your team sucks dick. It's natural. You feel as though you're getting ripped-off, or shat upon. I don't think Big Cat came into 2010 thinking it would start 0-5. I think he really thought we would start Moore, run the rock, play fast on defense (which we are), and win 8-10 games. It was what I envisioned as well.

When he needed to open up the purse, he did. 2003, we signed Proehl, Davis, Jake (cheap, but effective), Dyson (who would have been productive had it not been for the injury).

Then, 2004, he goes for the "let some of 'em walk and we'll be fine". 2004 was cataclysmic, in terms of injuries and heartbreaking losses.

So, Big Cat goes into March 2005 (in the middle of more labor unrest), and signs Lucas and Wahle. Both were all-pro level talents in 2005, and were huge contributors to a 13 win season.

Hell, everyone says "you're a #2 receiver away from going to the Super Bowl" after the Seattle loss in 2005. So, again, JR takes a risk and signs Keyshawn. And, honestly, that worked. He did very well. Problem was, Jake lost us games in the final 2 minutes on several occasions, almost singlehandedly. Even with that, we were one win shy of the playoffs.

    From there, it's been interesting.

But as for that 2002 season opener, I will never forget the sheer joy of winning a game, seeing how I attended just about every game in 2001 and drove home every Sunday night feeling gloomy. When the clouds break and the good times return, and they will, those who roll with the team through their valleys will enjoy the wins that much more.

But that's just one insane fan's opinion--mine. The economy is a big deal right now, and it's hard to get to these games. The frustration is understandable. You are what your record is, but in terms of the class or organization we have, it's second to none.

Tampa is 3-1. And it's pretty remarkable to see. But their organization, in terms of the important shit (cash flow and fan support) is in the shitter. Hats off to Raheem for doing anything down there.

I'll go ahead and take 11-5 and a playoff berth. From there, we can begin working on the Richardson Family Megaplex.
