    •8th against #1 WRs
    •13th against #2 WRs
    •24th against Other WRs (slot)
    •31st against TEs
    •8th against running backs

so who normally covers the TE? i remember beason offhand on shockey (sp?)once. i woulda thought the SLB would normally catch that duty. does this depend on if we are in the nickle or not?

marshall having trouble in the slot? (although zone d could mean that it isn't necessarily marshall having the trouble?)

i'm a bit surprised we are doing well against the RBs. seemed like screens were killing us there for a while.

seems like pretty decent stats considering the caliber of QBs we've been facing.

against the TE? it's zone. There's no singular matchup. In zone the most likely would be Martin or Anderson, and I wouldn't say TEs are going deep on us a lot.

It makes sense though, Winslow and Shockey got yards on us.

does 31 against TEs point to anything in particular. my first thought was that it was due largely to Anderson but don't know if this is true. may be that our corners are doing a good job on the wide-outs and the safeties are doing a good job against the stuff over the top. but may be that we have faced a couple of very good TEs along with 3 elite QBs?

can you expand on "against the TE? it's zone." i'm not following. i always thought the SLB lined up on the TE and would have him in man-to-man coverage unless we fell back into a zone.

It makes it sounds like our corners are going a good job and forcing the QB to checkdown to tight ends and to his third receivers. That stat is probably a positive for the whole pass D. It is certainly better than 31 against the #1 WR and 8 against the TE.
