i think he'll be able to pass it off as being hamstrung by ownership --in a classy foxy way, of course -- and land on his feet. he's a player's coach.

I had a funny thought (which is never a good thing!) a couple of weeks ago--Fox reunited with Delhomme. Mangini is in the Browns' fans doghouse and there have been polls floating around here in Ohio about when people think Mangini's gonna get canned. I thought that it would be rather funny if Fox was offered the Browns job after the season is over and he gets Delhomme back.

Just one of those stupid random thoughts.

from ESPN Insider Adam Schefter (sp):

I do see Cowher returning to coaching, but don't see the Panthers spending the money it will take to get him there. Plus, when Cowher returns to coaching, he is going to get to pick his organization as much as it picks him. He is going to go to a place where he can bring in his people and spend what he needs. It could turn out to be Carolina. But that's not where I'd guess he'd wind up at this point. Jerome Bettis keeps linking Cowher to the New York Giants, and that makes a bit more sense than Carolina if that team decided to force out Tom Coughlin -- who still is a first-rate coach, in my opinion.

I don't see Fox coaching a WCO team.

Would Coughlin fit with the Panthers?
