I have been a fan of 2 football teams in my lifetime; The Oilers and the Panthers. Damn. I deserve a young hot team.

Seattle Seachikins beating the Chargers as I type!

yeah. i think we're the worst. although, clausen found some wr's today. maybe we could tailor a gameplan towards our qb's strenghths.

    5. The Panthers look like the worst team in the NFL. They've lost by double-digits in all three games. Jimmy Clausen had completed one pass at halftime to the Panthers, and one pass picked off the Bengals. He fumbled three times in the game.

Carolina proves how impossible it is to win without a passing game. The rest of the team isn't that bad.

Can you believe an NFL team (ANY professional football team) is averaging 3rd down and 8.89 yards to go???

And we weren't even the worst in the league in that stat (I believe they said we were 28th),,,,,, for God's sake what teams are averaging worst than 3rd and 9?

How do you do so terrible to have that as your average?

I say we start QB sneaking on 1st and 2nd down for a few games, just to bring that average up to 3rd and 8.

It's clearly not a playoff year. I really don't care if the team goes 7-9 or 2-14. Same result.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw that stat. That's inexcusable when you have our running backs. I don't know why, but apparently they still think it's a good idea to go deep on 1st down.

About 3-4 more games like today, I say if we get to 0 for October too, I say we start playing for the draft. Might as well load up on all the young talent we can get.

I know you guys have probly discussed this but I heard that the talking heads are saying the communication between Fox and Richardson is now only through intermediaries. Can't imagine him getting this team fired up and possibly this is what we're seeing on gameday. If I missed this in an earlier thread I apologize.
