of course not, but that doesn't mean pissy fans (or tired media) haven't given up. And that's all that really matters (except for 'not really').

I mean, Yas is getting cred for what?

alternating between the obvious (go to Clausen) and the inane (the idea that two games into 2010 is a lot like the end of a fifteen game, epic losing streak).

I don't know if the divide is as great between JR and Fox as the media wants you to believe. They don't get along with Fox, who tells them to fuck off without giving them the angry Parcells quote; that doesn't tell them what they feel they need to be spoon fed, and that they have neither the talent nor balls to write for themselves.

For instance, this expectation that the Browns job might be available is realistic, but let's face it, does Fox really want Delhomme back bad enough to take on that shitstorm? A media concoction. Nothing to do with ragging Yas specifically, but this article is hack-tastic and panders to people who are already more worried about next year than bothering to pay attention to 2010.

he writes what people want to read. essentially that's his job.

is it valid? or validation? probably so on both. is it anything we as a fanbase didn't already know for ourselves? not at all.

i don't think we are nearly as dysfunctional and defective as that article implies. i do think they have underestimated the potential negative impact from young inexperienced players, and maybe overestimated the carryover from known commidities. past performance does not guarantee future results. i think if we didn't want fox around anymore he should've been let go. this pointless speculation is going to continue all season, win or lose.

Fox would be good with a star on his shirt. Also watch San Diego. They are getting tired of Norm's act and he's from the area.

Offensive play-calling is as much of an issue as anything quarterback related.

Fox had a great run but after so many years, I think both he and Mr. Richardson realize it's time for a change. What excites me is the possibility of Bill Cowher being our coach next season.

except it's almost as unlikely that we want Cowher as it is likely that fans are drooling over his name.

let's say we did. It'd still be awful, given what we do have on defense wouldn't fit the one defense he knows, the same defense he had no hand in designing.

I disagree that Cower is even in our price range, particuarly with the relative success of the Harbaugh's of the world. (Kirwan on Sirius, right now, is saying the same thing BTW. We'll go the coordinator route, not the name route. Before I was typing most of this.)

I understand the business side, and when things are less uncertain I know Jerry's going to want to win, stop trading so many picks, build from within with our philosiphy, and take this thing off pause.

    >>disagree. it's all been moore. nice guy but he was awful. just weird.

Moore's not been as good as the end of last year, but what's around him is not as good either, with Otah down and only one legitimate reciever right now.

John Harbaugh's done a great job. Independently, I think Jim will be as good or better.
We won't pay Cowher, Gruden, or Schottenheimer. Only guy we might put bank into would be Dungy, no idea if he'd come here though.

I'd keep an eye on Leslie Fraizer (Defensive Coordinator from Minnesota). He has a very similar resume and feel to Fox in 2002.
