    Interesting...

He's listed as a DT, but played 3 years of DE before switching to DT his senior year. Did CHI ever play him at DE? Seems like his athleticism and build would be a better fit outside.

They kept him at end for most of last year and then moved him inside when they signed a certain big name pass rusher, but lots of people (and the bears have said they wanted him behind Harris) projected him inside too

he played well, but not enough for the top 3. 4 and 5 won't dress much.

Irvin could've made it if he were top 5, but he couldn't even do that.

I'm guessing as a vested veteran, Tyler would cost the guaranteed salary to pickup this week, but not next.

I liked him inside or at the Brock/C. Johnson role, but we didn't need a left end and he was always more project than prospect. Sure, I liked him jumping out of a pool too, but I felt he was a rare athlete if he could play DT.

He's definitely a tweener, at 6'5 280 (IIRC). I'd say he'd fit better at Tampa 2, but he was in one (and the lighter guys sucked for us too). Maybe that's not part of the equation anymore. He certainly can't go 3-4, even Phillips' bastard child version.

Gilbert and Moala both have kinda blown. Comparatively, I'm pretty fucking happy with Brown, but Brown was a tier above them in the same draft.

Oh well. I missed on the guy, either way, but practice squad? I'd certainly rather have him than irvin.

I see, I thought Steve Justice and Aron Francisco were injury settlements as well. I still see them on IR on the Panthers Wilkipedia page.
