Yea, caught this buried in the observer.

Morrison is right about much of what he's saying. The foundation of that stadium is so perfect, I would prefer an enhancement or two. If they want the retractable roof, go for it.

Personally, I think the stadium design, while basic, works--i'd rather Jerry put his focus on continuing to build a championship caliber team.

Put a whole new shell (with a retractable roof) over it. Bars, Restaruants, shit like that surrounding the building. A Carolina sports hall of fame...hell build a roller coaster on the outside of it.

As a PSL holder (2), as long as they don't come back to me with their hands out I am good with driving down to Clemson or Columbia (or Chapel Hill) for a year until renovations are done. Although the stadium is still holding up well IMO

Why would the stadium need a retractable roof? I know it rains sometimes and gets a tad chilly late in the season, but is it really that bad? Seems like a huge waste of money to me.

I think the retractable roof is to lure the SB here?

a stadium 14 years old and they are even thinking about a replacement or major upgrades? With the impending lockout, it might get ugly with absurd ideas like this holding NFL fans hostage. What seems like a freight train that can keep on rolling might want to look at the NBA circa 1980s to see that it can change fast.

In all fairness, I think the article said they were thinking 15-20 years down the road.
