I've never been a huge Gross fan, but he's usually somewhat decent. Last night, he looked like he had never played a down of football.

Clausen barely completed half of his passes. He looked ok, but god damn - I've never seen a QB get 100% credit for an amazing catch by a WR. I think Moore and Clausen are completely interchangeable.

Clausen probably thinks he's still at Notre Dame with that seive of an offensive line he had in front of him. Edwards needs to stop the juking and turn on the afterburners. Offensive Line looks like our weakness right now. But it was Baltimore and their scheme filled defense.

I agree. My little brother played at Richmond with him. He and Tim Hightower shared carries, equally effective. They actually won the championship after Hightower left and Vaughan had the bulk of the carries himself.

Very impressed with Fiametta (sp?) blocking. Especially that one play where he planted their LB. I loved it.

    Which 5 RB's?

5 will stay, but who? I'm thinkin' that DeAngelo guy and the gimpy Stewart kid are probably locks but picking the other 3 guys isn't easy

    ONLY ONE SURVIVES -
Sutton fumbled on the goal line but In 731 attempts in college he fumbled 0 times. To my knowledge that's his first NFL fumble. However, no more preseason fumbles or he is going to get bypassed.
Goodson is talented but apparently he's prone to injury and my impression is he has not shown enough smarts to pick up all that Fox & Co have needed him to. Better get healthy and smart in a hurry.
Savage has a great football name but I doubt he has a realistic shot at making this team.

    TWO SHOULD STICK -
Fiammetta is the front runner and might be a lock. He's got a years head start and he looked decent vs the ravens. He's a keeper.
Jackson is a guy who I don't know a damn thing about . .. never seen the guy in action. Someone who has please fill me in.
Vaughan looks good to me so far. Seems smart and plays fast for a guy that big. Would like to see him kick ass on special teams and win a roster spot.

it depends on who you talk with - some say Jackson is a more pure blocker, some say he's more triple threat. Same for Fiammetta if you read enough evals.

Fiammetta is the better blocker, truthfully, and stronger. He's more athletic as well. Jackson hasn't shown enough yet, and seems to get stuck in the hole a bit more. He'll probably be a good fullback, but we don't have room for two projects.

Still think Sutton and Goodson stay. How they interact over the next 3 yrs should be interesting.

I'm already hoping Fiammetta turns into a monster. Can he catch the ball at all.

Not a real dangerous threat as a runner or receiver at Syracuse. He carried 16 times in his career for 89 yards, adding 28 catches for 202 yards. But he did have at least 1 reception the other night.
