Definitely still behind in the passing game.

Clausen's accuracy definitely shows. All of them could've made better decisions. Pike looks like a good QB - it's a shame we're so young we won't keep him.

DEs and DTs looked solid. I hope Brayton's OK - he had a great quarter. Brown still uses an array of moves but still looks a little small compared to a lot of guys - and doesn't have his speed under him yet. But, he can get to the ball nonetheless. Hardy s as good as recently advertised, for a backup.
I didn't see Irvin but the other DTs had positive plays. Hilee Taylor's the 6th best end now - Eric Moore is better. Guy just plays fast.

Beason looks good in space, but he can be more fluid. Anderson didn't look awful but did nothing other than that one slip that would've been a sack.

CJ Wilson is a better defensive back than Captain Mulligan*, regardless of the fumble return. Guy plays the ball, where Cap'n is always there waiting to make the tackle.

I can see this team getting to be really good as the year goes on. Problem is they won't be very good when it starts.

    Edwards -- I wasn't impressed
    Cantwell -- I wasn't impressed

    Claussen -- I was impressed
    Hardy -- I was impressed

Wish the game hadn't gone to rain. These guys are too inexperienced to show much in that situation. In a normal game that kinda mess woulda been turned over to the running game, and there wouldn't be as many noticable mistakes.

Overall after watching the game i have to say that i feel better about this panthers then before the game.

    Claussen look great.
Hardy look like a draft steal .He remind me of Pep
Kenny Moore also look very good
And even Matt Moore look good.If you take away the holding by Gross that Moore numbers would have look really good
Josh Vaughan need to make the roster i know we are very deep in RB but he look very good.

    Now the bad thing

special team let see they fired Crossman hire a new coach and yet special team look very bad again ,It getting very annoying that special team has not been fix

Jordan Gross i don't care if you are made the pro-bowl or not.Holding someone is a drive killer

Edwards was OK on punt return .But he was very bad at catching the ball.Which before he need to worry about learning the routes to run .He need to learn how to catch the ball

I thought Cantwell did OK. I think Clausen and Hardy were the main players I was impressed with though. Moore deserves the starting job but I think we'll be fine if Clausen ever has to step in. Hardy showed some skills and he probably has a chip on his shoulder for being drafted so late. A good combo of factor imo. #40 (whose name I forget) looks like a keeper.

OTOH, Edwards needs to learn how to catch the damn ball. Jarrett and LaFell looked decent too.

Maybe we won't make the playoffs but we look like we have some young talent finally.

Moore wasn't bad at all, Gross was the killer for him.

Also, I sure hope Hardy can stay healthy and be what he was before the last two injury years, what a steal that could end up being.

I thought Cody looked good for the Ravens. They were stupid to put him at fullback but he owned Kalil on that one play.

Also liked Fiammetta, King, Sutton. Jarrett may be more essential than I thought. Edwards didn't show even a flash of the speed or potential I expected. I'm not worried yet about the pass coverage, but special teams were horrible.

On the Baker penalty . . . this would be the time I miss Todd - Cause that MFer would of tackled him correctly and hard

Very impressed with Hardy; I think he will get some serious PT this year. I was impressed with the first-team d-line. I thought they created some good pressure. Our DTs are better than advertised. Clausen and Sutton also did very well. Just going to put this out there: Dexter Jackson > Dewayne Jarrett. I was not impressed with Lafell, Edwards or Brown. I wonder how much the wet conditions affected their performance. I thought Edwards was running like he was afraid to slip the whole time. Maybe on a dryer surface he will be a little more fluid??
