I respectfully disagree. Schwartz stoned Jared Allen last season.

There should be more talk about a potential RT battle. I agree that Schwartz did a very good job. Otah is better at getting to the second level, and he makes more big time plays, but Schwartz is steady and doesn't screw up nearly as often. If he has a good preseason, I wouldn't be shocked to see him stay in the line up.

not sure I can suggest the same, that Otah could get pushed by Schwartz legitimately, but my guess is there's room for both. At no point would Bernardeau be as good as Otah right now IMO.

At any rate, given that I had to hear about how wasted a pick those two were, it's amazing we could be starting both opening day. Hell it's amazing a tackle with as good of feet as Schwartz was on the practice squad for anyone to pickup.

since hardly anyone ever knows what the fuck they are talking about when it comes to this team I'll take that as a positive . . .

10-6 and a couple of playoff games! :panthers:

Usually is, the positive stuff doesn't sell.

Panthers RT Otah says he’s improving, but not close to return

Don’t count on seeing RT Jeff Otah on the field this Sunday.

In fact, it may be awhile before he does return.

Otah, who has missed the first two days of practice this week, doesn’t sound like he’s anywhere close to returning to the football field.

When asked if he might return after the bye week — which comes after Carolina’s fifth game of the season — Otah responded, “I’m not that close to start pinpointing when I can be back. Right now I’m just focusing on getting right. As soon as I know when I will back and I feel better then I will inform the coaches and let them know.”

The good news is Otah hasn’t needed any additional surgery since having his knee scoped in training camp and that it’s ”getting stronger all of the time.”

Otah, right leg amputated at the knee, considered day to day. Fox quoted as saying we are not sure yet when he will be ready but we do not think he will need surgery and it is what it is.

Makes you wonder what the hell he`s doing during rehab. Healing Otah is really slow.
