    Fans like him more than your average 6th rounder because they recognize his name, word around the reporters is they hope to develop him but Gantt has an affection for blowing Cantwell that indicates Pike could be on the practice squad or even off the roster by September.

    I like the kid, hell, I like the situation at QB...for the future. Just hope the Panthers can have enough success this year and Fox is retained. That said, it could be a rough year with so many holes to fill with young, unproven players.

    As young as the Panthers are if they finish better than 500 his price tag will be higher than what they could have signed him for last January
