Maybe he'd have better numbers, maybe not. Another quarterback probably could have made plays to other wide receivers instead of just chucking up hail marys to Smitty, so his numbers could have actually been worse with a better quarterback.

to be honest, even with a shit QB, Smitty should've had an epic 2008. I figured with all those falls at the one Smitty would somehow find a way to score 15 TDs no matter what in 2009, but can't fault him. I mean, seriously. Some of the hugest plays in Smitty's career, with his breakaway speed, were stopped inside the 5 from 2008.

    05. he was the offense in 05. demolished the vikings. kept us from losing to the lions on just a couple of plays. and the playoff game vs the bears. i'm sure there's more from 05, but those stood out.

While his temper has made me very unhappy a few times, I have to say that regardless of the team's record over the years, Smitty has made being a Panther fan VERY exciting. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this amazing and very determined athlete.

    Hell yes.

Should've included "the catch" from the '03 divisional game in STL.

Imagine if Smith has gotten drafted by the Colts and been playing with Peyton all these years. How about if he had been with Favre or Warner?

Depends, had he been drafted by the rams he would've played with Warner for a whole 3 years (only one of which did Kurt start every game), on a team where he might never have been the #1 target.
