reed mentions that it was alumni day. several panthers from the past were in attendence today, such as walls, bline, timmy b, and matt willig. i guess he didn't have a credit card commercial to shoot.

headcase...disagree about what we should ideally expect from a wr. that's more of a te job description, and i'm disappointed that one of the minuses for lafell has to this point carried over.

ideally in the implication that what we need from a wr is blocking and (on this i will quote you exactly) catch some of what's tossed his way. my apologies if you determined ideally to mean a magical utopian world, which does have comedic value, but was unintentional. we need a wr that can block, but can also draw some attention from a defense, by catching passes. ironically, this is the very role of a possession receiver, the ability to make consistent, timely catches and extend a team's possession. given lafell's less-than-blazing speed, i would think he fits the type, and would hope he can make those catches, certainly when it's shorts and tees time.

he might have been distracted by willig.

This was the catch I saw - everyone I was aroung kinda opened their eyes and said - 'damn'.

    Sorensen:

Edwards did not run all his routes perfectly on the first practice of mini-camp Friday morning. He says this.

What he doesn’t say is that he caught every pass thrown his way, including a deep ball he snatched out of the air with an over-the-shoulder catch.

That's great. After watching some highlight clips of him, I think he could be a steal.

That said, goodson was jaw dropping again, just like last year in mini camp.

A steal for a 2nd round pick? Doubt it. It's enough just to ask him to live up to that standard. Anything beyond is icing on the cake.
