maybe he'll be the anti-jarrett and be godawful in practice but actually contribute in games.

the paper reports he dropped several passes. to contrast with that, edwards caught most everything according to the report. that sounds super-fine then, especially given that it's essentially backyard pitch-and-catch at this point.

    yeah.

I don't mind that, if he's able to get under pads at guard. I definitely wanted him to have a shot at starting instead of just being the backup RT, sure.

Heard Lafell had a few drops.

thanks for the reports meat. i think this is the most excited i have been in a while. jimmy, armanti, norwood and hardy and wr's galore!!!!!!!!! good news on Davis ... huge key to us being able to get off to a good start.

lafell doesn't have to catch everything just be able to block like moose and catch some of what's tossed his way. anyways, probably a lot of rookie jitters at this point ... especially with smitty scrutinizing your every move.

anything on the LB from chicago? i think him or norwood need to take the SLB job for our d to be pretty special. no faith in connor or anderson there.

this is the fun time before reality sets in.

in the afternoon practice, Edwards, Kenny Moore, and Witherspoon ( #32 CB) fielded punts.

They held towels to their bodies with their arms apparently to help them remember to keep elbows in when fielding punts.....
