Is there any reason to believe that Hurney would sign this senior citizen?

I highly doubt we would trade away a 27yr old safety and sign a 37 yr old (or however old he is) safety!

    No.

Hurney is into CP, and he doesn't like his players over a certain age. If we hold out another month or so, Sharper could probably be had for a reasonable price but let's not get crazy here.

Sharper and Harris would make a fantastic pair. There's no future in it, the team seems to have pride that their starting safeties and corners will all be homegrown just as they have pride in their line, backs, receivers being homegrown.

Which is odd, that Sharper is out there and the Bears need a safety so bad.

    No.

The whole reason Hurney gave for trading Harris is that they had 2 young guys they wanted to give more playing time to.

Agreed. Then again, I think it's odd that Nawlins cut Sharper in the first place. He was a HUGE part of their Super Bowl run.
