    Worst Drafts:

    1998 and 2000
Honorable Mention to 1996 and 1997 (at least we got Moose and Minter there)

**We went three drafts...'96, '97 and '98 and got two players total. Moose and Minter. OK, throw in Mangum. No wonder we sucked so bad through 2002.....

    Best Drafts:

    2001 and 2002
Honorable Mention to 2007 and 2008

2005 sucked badly. Ellison didn't make it out of camp.

2005 gave us Thomas Davis and Geoff Hangartner. Seward was a nice backup. And Haye turned out to be a player, albeit elsewhere. It was bad but not as bad as the other.

no, 2005 was just as bad. maybe not in longevity as is that drudging string of timmy b-carruth-peters-no one-anderson...because that is some heavy duty 1st round uselessness...

compare it side by side to any of those gigantic failure drafts and it's pretty close. davis saves that draft from complete foolery and waste. take him out and we have a backup interior lineman that no longer plays here as the crown jewel.

I think people forgive the Shelton thing now that we have a good running game, but that guy was fucking useless.

I'd say it really is pretty tough when you have an identity, you know what it is you want and who you're supposed to be, and then you miss so badly on players who represent that identity (run, stop the run).

Not just draftees, but FAs too. I bitched for years about the OL, regarding that run the ball stuff. It's better now.

The sad thing is I was really, really happy when we drafted him. Watched him play quite a few times and I thought we had a stud RB. What a waste...
