This morning on Sirius, Gil Brandt told Randy Cross and Peter King "There's a 49% chance that Sam Bradford (QB, Oklahoma) will end up in Washington with the Redskins," but wouldn't say how he knew or how it might happen. Peter was dumbfounded, but acknowledged that Gil's sources and experience are better than his own.

So my question to y'all is, how could it go down? I'm thinking they'd almost have to trade up into the #1 spot to get him, and the Skins are currently sitting at #4.

All I've been able to come up with is Haynesworth and the #4 pick for STL's #1 overall. I have no idea how feasible or insane that scenario is, though.

Could happen just by need, Suh Okung McCoy get taken Bradford is there, I don't know that the Rams would go Detroit WR on defensive lineman but this regime didn't pick Carricker and Long.

Wouldn't expect the Skins to dump Haynesworth, they just paid him a huge bonus and while Snyder has deep pockets it seems stupid to pay that bonus plus the premium of three spots higher also the Rams are cheaping out, they lowballed Otogwe so I don't see them taking on Albert's contract or concentrating their resources so much on DT if they move down at take one of the big guys. They (the Rams) could also be looking at Clausen, though.

They probably give up some future year's picks as part of the deal to move up from 4 to 1. If the Rams are not set on Bradford then it makes sense for them to move down. They gain picks or players and the #4 pick makes less than the #1 pick.

Ordinarily I would agree wholeheartedly, but if there was ever a year to take that kind of financial hit, it would be this year.

All depends on how badly the Rams figure they need a QB. I'm guessing they keep the pick and take Bradford. Two lucky teams in the 2nd and 3rd spot are going to wind up with either Suh or Gerald McCoy
