I am not sure why Moore can't be a long term answer at QB. I think they were wise to tender him instead of locking him up long term at starter money but if he plays well this year I hope to keep him as our start for several years. He put up a 98.5 QB rating with 8tds and 1 pick last year. If he comes anywhere near those numbers again when he plays a whole season then he needs to be our starter for a long time. Jake never got close to those numbers. The only year we every had anything like that was '99 when Bline was on fire.

'07 when Jake played 3 games, before the surgery, he had 8 td's, 1 int, and a 111.8 QB rating

AJ Smith took Pete Carrol to the cleaners over that trade.

I clearly meant that Jake never had a season that approached the type of season I hope for from Moore....

Legit concerns. Hopefully, playing 11-man technique football can make up for a little of the Peppers issue, and I think despite Peppers we have a bigger concentration of people that fit our defense - smaller at end, smaller at tackle, but not too small. We should be faster, and there shouldn't be early growing pains other than at DT.

Jarrett and Moore are legit question marks, in their own ways. We'll have alternatives by August, and hopefully by then some clarity will show on how they're doing anyway.

Jarrett has really done fine when we've made an effort to get him involved. Not great, but he looks like an adequate #2 for our offense.
