    What Chip said.

We have two awesome linebackers who would be outmatched in a 34. It's a bad idea, which explains why Thelt keeps suggesting it.

The 2 biggest DTs on the roster were acquired on the cheap because their teams ran a 3-4 and didn't want them.

Be interesting to see if we draft Mt. Cody in the 2nd or 3rd.

there's no reason to put any validity in this.

I like the 3-4 and I like Cowher but I do remember suggesting we should switch to a 3-4. I have talked about how it could work but I have not said I thought we should switch. Unless Fox is gone and a guy with a background in the 3-4 like Cowher comes here I see no reason to switch. I am pretty happy with Meeks and his system. The D was pretty good by the end of last season.

I hope Fox ends up staying here for a long time. He has done a good job in my opinion. Certainly there have been things here and there that I was disappointed with but for the most part he has been great.

Other than that time you said they were drafting linebackers for a switch to the 3-4 when Cowher arrived and wouldn't let the idea go.

that's fair, though there was also the bump-and-run, shut down, man corner and we went to the Super Bowl with Terry Cousins and Reggie Howard.
