I already warned a Bears fan about how Pep disappears and takes plays off. I told him to be prepared for what he's about to see. This fan is already disgusted with how the Bears are run and to quote the fan, "So, the Bears screwed up again. It's typical of the front office. And they love to spend big money on players who don't pan out. Wonderful." This guy was royally pissed that they paid Pep that much. :gun_bandana:

"I always liked his demeanor, how his teams played," said Peppers. "They always played hard, they always give it their all."

Peppers is only trying to say all the right things, I mean really what is he supposed to say, they just gave him $20mil guaranteed for next year alone.

IMO, I think the Panthers have a better chance of smelling a championship before Chicago will.

I'm hoping Olin Kreutz will go Smitty on his ass in training camp. That would be awesome.

I like Julius, but I wish he'd stop saying dumb shit so I could try to like him beyond the time he was here. I mean, I can get past him leaving, but shut up already.

My guess is that Carl Carey is making the call for him to be more available to the Chicago media as a PR move. It's a dumb move as we can all see that he is about as articulate as a box of rocks. But we all know that if Julius could have his way, he would never do a radio or TV interview.

Of course, the people in Chicago don't know any better and are eating this shit up...which i guess is their primary goal.

I don't see anything he said as anything close to a verbal swipe. He was saying genericly positive things about his new team.

    he keeps on talking.....http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-0321-chicago-bears-julius-peppers-20100320,0,7246388,full.story

"I'm out here in Chicago and there's just a lot of love,'' Peppers yells over the blaring music. "I think back in Charlotte, I had been there so long that everybody got used to me. I mean, I got attention there and all that. But out here in Chicago, it feels a lot more genuine.''

"Truth be told, that's really one of the small reasons that I wanted to get out; because everybody knows your business in Charlotte,'' he says. "I wanted to try something different because out here in Chicago, Jordan was here. Pippen was here. They've got Urlacher. They've got hockey. They've got the baseball. In Charlotte, it was all about the Panthers.''

Peppers pauses then finishes the thought.

"I live on a small town on the lake, and I mean people would get on their jet skis and just post up in front of my crib, trying to see who was there in my house.''

"Beason … he knew he was wrong for that,'' Peppers says, his tone raised a notch. "I didn't even have to respond to that because as soon as he left the radio station, he came over and apologized.

"If you want to keep saying things, go ahead,'' he says. "I actually want people to keep saying that I take plays off because it's going to keep me on my toes. It's only going to fuel my fire even more.''
