anyone looked at any of the mock drafts to see if anyone is forecasting a QB pick in the 2nd rd?
personally I would rather have some experience in the back up QB, but man given their track record picking a wide out in that spot scares the hell out of me.

If you're scared off by past WR experiences you could pass on someone worthwhile to take a QB (and second round QBs have a huge bust rate).

haven't seen any at this point. they've all been wr prospects that i've noticed. gilyard has been the pick on a couple or so.

we draft linebackers pretty well, and o-linemen too lately. maybe we should stick to that.

saw recently that OT will probably be the best value around where we pick in the 2nd. Top of the O-line crop grades out higher (and deeper) than the WRs and If they wanted to take "best available" the pick would probably be an OT.

    just sayin

it would be the safe pick. it never seems the mocks are right for us, and i'm sure some of that is because we have been a deal-making team on draft day. it might be interesting to read things into that happening this year again, or not as the case may be.

jenkins would be a reasonable guess on the spleen. 350+ or so crashing on an abdomen can't be good.

I recall seeing one a few weeks ago that had an OT listed

I would have rather seen the WR issue addressed in FA. get more of a proven one.

perhaps when the next roster bonuses come due someone will shake loose

Al Wallace got fined for driving him into the ground but that happened a few plays after he was sandwiched between Kris Jenkins and Thomas Davis on a sack there has never been a definitive answer on which hit ruptured the spleen.

EDIT: looking it up it may not have been a sack, but he was hit by them before the wallace hit, I remember that much.
