Pasquarelli says we want this to happen. Gantt agrees, saying both sides want it.

    Thoughts?

    Um, well, do it.

And find a way to lock up 28 while you're at it. They're both very special.

I want to keep Deangelo since the way we use him suggests he'll stay better longer, but the way the FO has been giving out contracts I could see him easily clearing 8 mil which I don't want.

my thoughts a few months ago include:
    *Stewart is the better back
*I'd let DW play out his contract, maybe including one year's rent at a franchise tag, if Stewart could practice regularly
*the guy we'd need to spell Stew isn't necessarily as hard to find as a new Stew

but, DW might be the better back anyway, and it doesn't matter who's better if we don't choose between them.

I dunno. As long as it's not ridiculously expensive, I'm OK with it. The idea of having both backs and three or four linemen under wraps for the next 3-4 would be nice. Stewart's just so far along for an upcoming third year.

Well, Mr. Richardson is in a world of hurt tonight, so can we drop it already?

DW is a more explosive than Stewart but Stewart is more powerful. We do not really need to keep them both but it would be a nice luxury.

while we're on it, the tandem of Beason and Davis are both FAs, so it seems like that'd be more pressing. But, this is without context of what else we'd try to do.

seems that stewart has a little of the fumblitis sometimes.

i'd prefer to keep both since they seem to work well together, not just on the field, but with neither expressing a me-first stance to this point. i know this...we would've won a whole hell of alot less without the both of them.
