Seriously when teams ran right at him he failed at the point of attack. He was good coming down the line to make tackles but think about how many times he got owned by less that stellar OT's. He had as many bad games as good during the course of the season. I would rather have four 5 million dollar players with heart han his tea bagging ass.

I think the most interesting thing about the numbers (p99 was, of course, correct) was that Anderson's numbers were good but it's never shown to be much of anything. Beason's athleticism is better than the numbers, of course.

Anyway, it was surprising that Connor was so good in NE or that his combine was that good, too. I've said before he doesn't fit this defense, but maybe he's OK.

So I think between the two, we're OK. I think the two are good enough, with one being our depth, and maybe we sign the winner longer term - it gives us four good LB, you add either Senn or Cuthbertson as the special teamer and draft a cheap MLB. I think it's enough.

We could draft a good one, too. Lots of time, lots of options.

This has been coming so long that it is hard to worry much about it. Hopefully Brown and Johnson can do a decent job. If Moore puts up a 98.5 rating for the season then it will not matter as much.

Not necessarily knocking you, but if I remember right Beason was still healing from a leg injury when that happened so his timed speed wasn't 100% accurate. I'm not really disagreeing with your argument, just stating that Beason's speed could be faster than that paper says.
