I like Jake as a person and he was probably the best of the QBs we've had. I'd much rather him left willingly, but some guys have a hard time doing that. I really believe his arm is not completely healed and a year off from football might be a good thing for him.

True, but it was refreshing to hear. He is grounded and mature. Very rare in this age of whiny pro athletes.

Love jake as a person AND player (at least prior to the end of last year) but he would get a lil' bit childish and whiny on the refs with some regularity . . . you know it's true
aside from the turnovers that was my least favorite thing about him. Stop crying to the refs all the damn time :crybaby:

Just saw a small part of it on TV. I believe the rug was pulled out from under him. For someone who played like him last year and not have a clue tells me he's clueless or someone been blowing smoke up his ass. My favorite Jake memory was coming off the bench to replace Peete and winning that game in the closing moments.

I, too, am going to miss Jake. But, like others have said, he never really came back from his elbow surgery and I think that was the beginning of the end for him. He took us to a SB (which my hubby and I went to and we had a blast!!) and to a few playoff/championship games. I wish him and his family the best for the future.

He must have figured they wouldn't cut him because of all that money.

Well, now he gets to keep all the money, and not get beat all to hell, if he wants. :REGamblMoney01HL2:

If people want to feel sorry for somebody, there's people a lot more deserving. I liked Jake as a player up until the Arizona playoff game (and will always like him as a person), but time to move on. I'm more worried now about who we're going to get as our other QB.
