Julius Peppers is da Bears' top free agent target; Aaron Kampman very much on their radar too.

Bucs wouldn't spend the money to do it. Given the uncapped, I could totally see them dump some salaries and sign no one over $500k.
I could see the Falcons wanting to stick it to us badly enough though.

Pep and his "agent" are going to be in for a surprise when Pep doesn't get the money that he wants. GMs and personnel around the league know that he's lazy and takes plays off and aren't going to pay him what he thinks he's worth. ESPN radio talking heads have been discussing Pep and anonymous people around the league have been quoted as saying that he's not worth what he's looking to be paid because of his "laziness".

I'm not real sure, imo, there are going to be that many teams willing to sign him. From what I'm hearing on the airwaves is that he is kind of a hot potato that nobody really wants to take a high priced chance on.

It's sad really because he's got a dope of an "agent" that doesn't know what the hell he is doing (because of a lack of experience in this type of thing) and I think Pep's "agent" is going to be in over his head in dealing with this situation with other teams.

It will be interesting to see if he signs for the biggest offer on a shitty team (Cleveland or Kansas City) or does he take less and sign for New England, Philly where he thinks he he'll have a better shot at winning a Super Bowl.

He'll get a monster contract probably ala Haynesworth that can be gotten out of.

Hypothetically if he doesn't get a HUGE offering from someone else could you see him coming back? Did the Panthers ever make him an offer after last year?

Totally agree, which is why I didn't want to see it done last year, either.

it's easy to spend 21mil when it itsnt yours

I heard on one of of Claytons reports last night,he said I believe since 1982 only 4 men had more than one season of double digit sacks.
Bruce Smith,Reggie White Kevin Greene and I forgot the fourth

the point being the team signing him took the risk of likely a couple years top level service from him.that if half assed Pep didnt show up

Did you mean double digit sacks with multiple teams?
