Y'all are forgetting about Josh McCown. He's still on the team.

I meant to imply that the a free agent would be one likely to available. Obviously if the Colts cut Manning I would want to try to get him.

I do not think McCown is a factor. He could be the back up if we cut ties with Jake I guess.

Moore is probably the best available, but I don't see him starting because Delhomme has the huge contract and is bff's with Fox and Hurney.

this team completely rallied around moore and played for the talent they are.

Delhomme lost the locker room and it showed. McCown hasn't proven he can get the team to rally, moore has in two different seasons.

It's about who Fox and Hurney like. You have to understand that the people running the team absolutely adore Jake Delhomme. It's classic Stockholm Syndrome. There's simply no way out of this until Fox and the GM are fired, and JR passes.

    That's a little much.

I'd made the switch sooner. But the classic, safe move is to stick with the starter and try to get him to play better. It happened with Rodney Peete, and he could barely drop back anymore.

Throw in the fact that Matt had not done much recently, the I understand the hope.

Now that Moore has proven he's an option, I figure the game is different now. 10 wins for Fox next year, and he's a very rich man.

You think it is because you're a rational person. To really know the irrational, you have drop to the depths of your psyche and evaluate what's really going on. We gave this man more money after he lost the playoff game for us. He cost us several games this year and kept starting until his injury. The only explanation is that he has Fox and the GM in a total state of submission. Jake Delhomme will not be released. He will be given another contract extension and he will be our starting quarterback until he decides to retire.

I watched the Arizona game every night for seven months, and I finally understood the thought processes of the people running this team. The only thing that kept me from submitting to Delhomme is the loaded gun that I kept in my mouth with my finger on the trigger. If I started celebrating the interceptions, the pressure from my finger would have fired the gun and killed me. It was a buffer of sorts, as my fear of death prevented me from falling over the edge and becoming what Fox and Hurney have become. But I gained an understanding and now I know that there will be no light at the end of the tunnel. The only thing emerging from that tunnel will be Jake Delhomme during the player introductions.
