    Moore!

Considering the play calling and no Smith, other than 2 or 3 throws off target, he looked damn good. He had some passes that Jake never had even in his good games.

    his outs looked good.

I don't know, though. He looked terrible in the first half until the 2-min drive. I can't blame the playcalling - up by a score, against your own endzone, having almost given up a fumble/TD earlier. I'd have been conservative deep in your own territory too, and we started (I think) at least four inside our own 20.

Plus the running game was obviously more successful than the pass early. I hate to be the guy arguing against the QB (or anyone) in a game ball thread but that's where I am.

I understand what you are saying about the playcalling, but that wasn't Moore fault either, it was the situtation that dictated the playcalling, which had a lot to do with a lot of the safe/short passes. I am looking at more beyond the stats.

I'm looking at the idea that Moore had a great 2 minute drive and not a lot else.

7 of his 14 completions were right then. Part of being in an offense like this* is that you sometimes have to make the right throw when you haven't thrown in 4 or 5 plays. I'm pleased - he's done well and he did well this week. IMO no game ball and be more careful about the decisions.

*funny enough, our offense is the same as New Orleans'.

This was not his best of the last 3 by any means. Everyone in our area was wondering what had happened to him. He should have thrown the ball away on one play that he didn't and since Jake would have been crucified for that, Matt doesn't get a pass either. Still like him, but today wasn't his best.
