Afterall it was John Fox who clearly NEVER had the confidence to play Matt Moore, despite Jake reaching new levels of "suck" each and every Sunday. In fact even when Fox finally named Moore the starter, he also reached for the excuse about Jake supposedly having a "broken finger" (yeah ok).

Now weeks later against some very good competition, all Moore has done has went out and actually looked like a pretty decent NFL QB (not a turnover machine). You know that Moore knows all about Fox being in Jake's corner, so it makes you wonder if Moore wouldn't rather send every pass "up Fox's ass", but he's actually played quite well.

So I ask the question, as if there weren't already enough questions about Fox's future with this team,,,, ultimately will Fox's failure to pull Jake in favor of Moore back earlier during the season be the final straw that JR uses to fire Fox?

I do think Fox is back. It's a good point, though. If you look at it objectively, Moore's success makes Fox look fucking clueless.

Fox may return, but I think its a very good point, and it does question his ability to make decisions for the best interest of the team. Fox said REPEATEDLY that "he felt Jake gave us the best chance to win", despite Jake's reaching new lows.

Clearly with all the questions about his future, Fox did not need something else to backfire on him,,,, and IMO Moore's good performances certainly don't help his case when he has his end of the year meeting with JR. He certainly can't take any credit for it whatsoever.

The strong finish is what has saved his ass.

It's hardly the first time that Fox has waited too long to make a change. It's something he struggles with every season. This year's example just happened to be the QB.

He'll just be one of those coaches who always does just enough to keep his job, and we'll have to live with the good and the bad that comes along with it.

He tried Moore in the Philly game and he didn't look ready. I think Fox comes back. He's a better coach than many give him credit for. There's lots of franchises who would be thrilled with Championship games and Super Bowl over 8 years.

The offense is devoid of playmakers at Wide Receiver besides SSmith.

Also, what woke up JPeppers? He has really come on the past two weeks.

chipshot, but if you give Matt Moore any credit whatsoever for leading us to this "strong finish", then (to be honest) you can't give the same credit to Fox,,, because again Fox made it clear all season he didn't want Moore out there.

And B&B, I wouldn't use the term "fucking clueless" about Fox, but this is certainly just another example of his being stubborn.

I don't think he's clueless, and I don't think anyone could have anticipated Moore playing at this level, but he is stubborn. He's too loyal to guys who have had success in the past. It only took him one half to replace Peete, but it took an injury for him to replace an awful Delhomme.
