We played a 1-win team, we had them at home, TB made numerous stupid moves (wasting timeouts), their QB threw 5 ints (3 inside our redzone), and yet despite all this, we STILL didn't put the game away until that final field goal in the final minutes.

You can say the defense played well and I'll accept that based on the ints,,,,,, but this team isn't playing well overall with John Fox PERIOD. There needs to be change.

Sorenson had a nice article today,,, its pretty obvious.

I don't think Fox needs to go. Since he has been with us, the panthers have the second best record in the NFC.

The years the panthers did poorly, we would have so many injuries at one particular position that we had to sniff for table scraps.

Remember the year the O line was constantly phuckered up. How many RBs did we go through that other year. The year of the QBs and this one with the DTs.

We have had too many years where we were playing with 10 and a half men.

He has loyalty to his core to a fault. I'll give you that. He's way to predictable and conservative.
I'll take those warts if when healthy we are always close

If they go out and find a solid QB in the offseason and then Fox fails to get to the playoffs next year then he needs to go. No coach can win with a turnover machine at QB.

..."if they go out and find a solid QB" ???

Now Thelt,,, theres the million dollar "IF",,, because Fox's main fault is his being stubborn and while he's shown an unprecedented loyalty to Jake Delhomme (and thats great),,, but the fact is there have been other QB's sign with other teams during the past few years, and yet while Jake was going through his surgery, we've simply ignored the better ones who were available, only bringing in 2nd-rate backups, almost like Fox didn't want to bring in a "solid" QB that might actually threaten Jake's job.

Also believe at this point the players simply are not responding to him any longer. Case in point, we just beat a shitty team but it took us to the final minutes to get it done. IMO

It's tough to get excited about two bad teams playing a boring game.

not much to talk about, really. we won't know much of anything until the season is over. and there's no no. 1 pick to get excited about. getting a 40-pick mock draft right is difficult, so predicting the panthers first pick is a crapshoot.

i don't know. there's not much to get upset about for this season anymore. it's all about building for 2010 right now. i'm pretty disappointed, but i'm still watching the games.

    love watching stewart run.
