Agreed. And moore's one deep ball this year was overthrown by about 6 inches, and looked nice getting there, whereas Delhomme's look terrible and miss by yards. Which is at least something.

Plus - he's not delhomme. Which I think can only help the huddle, regardless of what anyone says publicly.

Moore deserves a shot for two reasons: He's not Jake and they may as well see what he can do. If he doesn't do well then there is no point keeping him around after the season. Whoever is coaching next year is going to have make QB a #1 priority. Right now the other team isn't afraid of Jake beating them and the Panthers are afraid he's going to lose the game. That's a bad combo.

If Drago wasn't hurt would everyone be excited about seeing him?

I wouldn't be. He never did much when he had the chance. In Moore's few chances, he looked better than Delhomme has all year.

AND - his skill position players were Smitty, Drew Carter, and DeShaun foster. He was also actually able to get the ball to smitty - 9-137, 8-72, 5-48. Of 72 balls thrown in 3 games, 22 were caught by smitty.

Really, every statistical measure of the passing game in Moore's three starts surpass anything Jake has shown in an awful long time.

I think the only reason folks are excited about Moore is because he is the only opportunity on the roster for a Tom Brady type backup to franchise QB. Not saying he's gonna be Tom Brady, just that we know Feely and Drago are never going to be franchise guys. They could be salvageable as average starters maybe, but they've had their shot. Moore is the only potential we have on the roster...if he can't do it, we have to really go back to the drawing board and figure out what we are going to do about the QB position for the future.

For the simple reason that I am bored following this team and the way it does things I want Fox gone. It's supposed to be entertainment and it's become as boring as church. I'd pull all my hair out if Moore does just enough to keep Fox around with Moore and Delhomme back next year for more of the same. I guess I want to see anybody but Delhomme embarrass this team the rest fo the year but that is my fear.

I want to see how a new staff addresses things, it would make for a more interesting off season at least.

You guys don't see the elephant in the room. Jake was playing and continues to play because of Hurney and the dumbass contract extension. The powers that be don't want a $30mil QB holding a clipboard. They're gonna eventually have to do something at QB...maybe this week. Now that there's the "boken finger."

I see it. That's the kind of bad judgement that would get most any businessman fired.

Moore couldn't beat McCown. If you look at what each did in preseason, ,McCown was efficient and held long drives. Moore threw up a couple balls and almost got picked a bunch. He got a few big plays, which is nice, but I've been wanting him to show he could actually be efficient. Which he'll need to start doing.
Even in the matchups against the JVs he played in 2007 he didn't show a ton of that.
