Said he hated Delhomme "as his QB" or "as a QB" something like that, I don't remember him saying directly that he wanted out.

just go get some idiot kid with a huge arm. Hell, Grossman almost works there. Is Lorenzen out there?

I mean, we take too many stupid shots deep, but this time last year we could still nail them.

I would hate to see Smith go, but he's got a lot of value, and our new coach may actually want to shop him and possibly get some much-needed draft picks for him (ala how Herschel Walker helped the Cowboys by leaving).

Don't get me wrong, we need to keep our key players,,, but given Smith's stage in his career and his desire to put up numbers,,, I would bet he would welcome a trade. Hell right now, based on pure numbers alone, he's not even the best Steve Smith of 2009, and thats gotta irk the shit out of him.

I doubt we get a huge package of picks for smith, if we're lucky we get a 1 and a 3.

You may be right, but he's still got serious value around the league.

Definitely at least 2 players (or picks) in return, maybe 3.

Maybe we should stay out of the trading game,,,, we might get took too...
