Reed thinks they've quit.

I watched smitty's post game presser on espnnews. He was sincere in his tone--and, frankly, he was very positive. Reed is doing his job, which is drawing far-reaching conclusions to mirror those of his readers--simpletons. Our special teams play is most concerning. Jake is jake, and truthfully, no one should be shocked. Jets and Bucs are extremely winnable. From there, who knows. I still think this team is capable of winning every game left on the schedule, but the special fucking teams needs to wake the fuck up.

 

Special teams isn't that shocking.

I guess I did expect that Goodson would be better than he is. But otherwise, I mean the only guy we have that's really a vet ST player is Wesley. No Goings, no one else really. We have rookies doing that job and they're not doing it well. I think the worst sign was when Thomas Davis had to play the protector in punt coverage and the coverage was specifically that much better that day.

And it's not as if we don't think Crossman is hands-down our worst coach.



The rest is inconsistency. Our defense looked to have turned a corner - but they keep making mistakes. Our offense can run, but we out-think ourselves and are inefficient.

This is the same baseless nonsense that Reed was spewing out two years ago, when we had another shitty team. It's not about guys acting like they're in a movie. It's about talent and execution, and we're lacking in both areas.

last time hung around a jets board was a few years back when we played last. if i had to guess, they'd see it as a reasonable chance to get-right. at home, vs an inconsistent team like us.

buc fans have given up on the season. they're already looking at next year, but they see it as a real chance for win number 2, their only other win this year.

 

At some point, NY has to win a home game, and I think they could easily run for 300 yards against our defense if they wanted to. I don't see that game as a particularly promising one, unless Sanchize gives us a boost.

 

They quit trying to tackle properly
Maybe I'm wrong and just picking on the dude but Chris Harris has played pretty poorly recently. He has a big hit every now and then but his wrap up tackling has been awful. He's already pretty much nothing in pass protection. Maybe we could throw Godfrey at SS if he gets healthy. Don't laugh.
