The Saints knew they could out score us. They simply loaded up the box and dared Delhomme to throw. Williams got his yards, but the fact is if Arizona didn't turn the ball over we would have lost last week too.

It sucks watching Steve Smith and other WRs in man coverage, yet we can't throw the ball. It's sad really. Simple out passes and posts are impossible for Delhomme, he misses them by 5 or more yards and normally HIGH.

yeah we couldn't throw the ball for shit the second half. And it's not like Fox to be conservative with a lead, so obviously he's scared to let the one guy he'll have at QB throw the ball, right?

No, the "fact" is that Arizona did turn the ball over and we did win.

Your opinion is that if Arizona didn't turn the ball over we would have lost last week too.

We have an above average OL, two elite RB's (whose recent fumbilitis has started to worry me a bit), an elite WR in Smith. The TE's are decent, nothing spectacular but in this offense they fill the role they've been given. On the other hand, the WR group outside of Smith just plain sucks. No team is worried about getting beat by them so they double down on Smith without too much worry.

Now to Jake. He's done. No defense worries about him anymore. They load 7-8 in the box to stop the run and see if Jake can beat them, which he can't anymore. He overthrows receivers regularly, is inaccurate beyond anything we've seen in past years and with all the interceptions he's gotten indecisive on throws to avoid taking a chance of another pick. Until we get a QB that can add some balance to this offense things are goinh to be tough for the rest of offense. The bad part is it ain't easy to find that kind of QB.

we could trade future pick(s) for Vick and then run a triple option with him

We would have won last week against most teams in the NFL. The Saints are one of the few teams that could have done what they did against our defense in the second half......
