There's been no season like this that I can remember.

Five teams have been outscored by 100 points or more this year. The Rams are 0-7. They have been outscored 60-211. They've been outscored by 151 points! By comparison, after their first seven games last year, the Lions were outscored by 98 points. Of course, we know how the season ended for them. So far, three teams (Cleveland, Oakland and Tampa Bay) have already exceeded that differential in their first seven games, and it only took Tennessee six games.

    Fucking unreal.

yep. I remember either last week or the week before, maybe the one where Jake had like 67 yards in an actual footbal game, that he wasn't the only one who had like 100 yards and multiple turnovers, in the same breath as like 10 QBs having 400 yards.

On the Rams - I like Spags to a point. Maybe he's not HC material, but whatever.
Sometimes scheme doesn't get you everything.

Did anyone see the Chris Long bust coming? I sure didn't.

I think Long could benefit from a scheme change. He'll probably never live up to 2nd overall, but I could see him being a very solid 34 outside linebacker.

St. Louis has done all kinds of fucking stupid things with linemen. I still don't get Carriker inside. He's 6-6 and can't support 300 lbs.

Long seemed to be too good to be true, a nearly dominant player with lineage. Now he's still got lineage.
I dunno. He still makes the most sense to me as a 4-3 guy. I'm sure being on a non-shitty team would help.

Me neither. In an emergency, sure, but for what -- 3 years? No.

He seemed more like a motor guy coming out of UVA with some talent, but not like the hyped up monsters coming from the SEC and ACC the last few years. The lineage is there, sure. But even Howie had guys around him in Oakland/L.A. Chris doesn't. Not really.

There were a lot of people trying to project him as a 3-4 OLB, but I don't really buy it. IMHO, his best fit is probably LE in a 4-3 scheme.

I think Long is going to be a player. He is just stuck on a bad team.

The Lions have lost 28 of their last 30 games. 2-28. Kansas City is 6-33 since the beginning of 2007. St. Louis does them one better at 6-34.

Those records shouldn't be possible in the NFL, even if a team was trying to be that bad.
