You completely missed the point. When a coach has success with his first team (i.e. wins SB), he does not have that same level of success with his next team. Everyone on your list never won with his first team.

That's not to say I'm in love with this blanket statement, but it does show a trend even with an exception or two. Drop a dozen eggs from the roof and you may get one or two that survive but for the most part you can issue the blanket statement that eggs dropped from a roof will break.

I think we've won several games in spite of some in-game coaching decisions/blunders. The San Diego game last year was a prime example.

I would be very interested to see how Fox would do in a situation like St. Louis or Cleveland. When he came to Carolina, there were some decent things on the table, and we had Peppers waiting for us in the draft. I don't think he would ever have to worry about that, because if he does get fired, he should eventually get a decent job somewhere else.

I mean, if he ends up in that coaching pool in January, you have to put him on the same level as Fisher. Maybe even slightly ahead, since Fisher has had far worse seasons than anything we've had.

    I bet Fisher interviews better.

I don't know. They both seem like they are of the same ilk. Granted, I could never see Fox wearing a Matt Ryan jersey or anything like that, but I don't think that matters.

I like Van Gorder. Liked him since UGA, but he's green. And the Falcons' defense is not better this year. It's a small sample size to base on, but this is an NFL head coaching position.

Groh doesn't fit. I agree he'd make a solid NFL DC, but he's a 3-4 guy. And Bienemy has undoubtedly been successful as the RBs coach for Adrian Peterson. I don't credit him with making him by any means and he doesn't have any success in the NFL. You'd want to have an experienced coordinator opposite a guy who's a first time head coach and who would be in his third year in the league overall.
