Agreed. Jake will take the fall for the loss though. For the record, I'm not a Jake apologist. The Eagles loss was totally on Jake's back. This loss can no way be blamed on him though.

Terrence Newman quote after the game:

"It was a lucky play on my part, basically. I was just trying to get a jam on him. I got a good hand on him and he tried to re-direct, and I don't know if it was a called slant, but that's what the quarterback threw."

I've heard the NFL is considering a proposal to start calling interceptions "Delhommes"

    :smartass:

Jake has got to stop forcing the ball to Smith and that's only partly his fault. The rest of the blame lies with the other receivers. Smith will be double-covered. Count on it. Moose, Jarrett, Moore, King, et al. need to step the hell up and give Jake some other option rather than throwing to a double-covered Smitty the whole damn game....

    Coaching

I blame it on Fox. The team looks defeated before we start. Can't run the ball, Peppers is getting blocked by the second team much less tight end, slot reciever, horrible performance on the big stage. Moose was having trouble seeing the ball all night. It is the coaches job to put you in a position to succeed.
