    Reality:

I think we could all see this kind of a season coming. Massive coaching turnover. Essentially having no offseason because of the Peppers situation (we couldn't even re-sign our longsnapper, FFS), and having no first round pick. We've played three teams who are probably superior in talent, had opportunities in the last two. Fox isn't going to be fired during the season and there won't be any massive locker room implosion.

    Reason why Meeks doesn't impress

Because he doesn't have DEs that will play 100% all the time every play like Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis. I brought this up in the thread sum1 mentioned Mike Gandy looks awful against everyone besides us. Like I said in that thread, Peppers doesn't play every play. When he first came in the league he played hard. Now it's as if he doesn't care. Wish we could start from scratch and tell everybody if you want to play then practice and play hard and if u dont then sit ur hindend on the sidelines. Peppers would be suspended without pay with activity detriment to the team if i was the coach. Beason, Davis, D. Williams, O Line and Jake would probably be alright. They play hard even though sometimes they get beat.. they put forth tough heartfelt effort most of the time. Even Damione Lewis seems to play hard! Like the quote from Rudy " I wish God woulda put ur heart into some of my players!!"

    Dom Capers..

Wish we woulda just brought Dom Capers back to the coaching staff and let him be the Defensive Coordinator. Doesn't look like he's doing that bad of a job up in Green Bay.

I think JR had a hand in the Peppers situation, personally, so I don't know how much I can blame Fox for that. The whole offseason stunk largely because of that.

And our draft strategy the last two seasons really disappointed me. I still go back to the decision to take Stewart over an OT, which was the dire need at the time. My feelings were that with a good OL, a decent back is good enough behind DW, and without one it doesn't really matter much who's back there. And Stewart has not shown shit this year, because the OL isn't getting the job done (which is a not so pleasant surprise). And the Brown trade this year, sheesh, can't like that any less.

Defense, we start Nick Hayden at DT, what more does anyone need to know?

The bad tackling and confusion in the secondary, which has carried over through the coaching changes, is just an embarrassment. Probably very much so for Fox.

I wouldn't cry if he was let go, but I think he's a good coach and worry that we'd could do worse, and might.

Hurney, show him the door any time as far as I'm concerned, although again, I think JR has a strong hand in a lot of his decisions.

Yep. I bet Trgovac is laughing his ass off. At the very least to save his job Fox is going to make some coaching changes. There are too many good players on this team to suck this bad.

That's what's making me pull my hair out, too. In one offseason, we forgot how to run block and tackle -- two of the main traits that got us to 12-4 last year. Our defense is a donut, so I get that to a degree, but WTF is going on with the OL?

Same here. When I checked the score vs WAS on Sunday between church services and saw it was 17 - 2, I actually laughed.
