The Patriots franchised Cassel...then traded him.

Doesnt matter...no one is going to take on his salary AND give us a pick for him.

pep has already made a small fortune in his career and he's picking up 17 mil this year. he really doesnt need that "big money " contract wherever he goes next. one things for sure the Panthers are fucking psycho if they try to resign that guy. hes not worth whatever they would overpay him.

No, not until the season is over. We are stuck with Peppers unless we cut him. It's that cut and dry...

Peppers isn't the problem. The problem is a cocktail of shitty moves Hurney has made in the past (paying huge for Wahle and Lucas, giving Jake more money, Kemo, etc.) which has led to this situation. Peppers had a poor game tonight, but he is a superstar defensive end. No DE has more sacks since he joined the league. What more do you want? He's a difference maker and he's singlehandedly (through sacks, interceptions, or blocked field goals) changed games for us. Don't vilify him because our front office is dumb as shit when it comes to free agency.
