I said this last week, we need to start looking for a replacement. Jake hasn't been bad in the past, just inconsistent.

The fourth pick wasn't as bad as the others. We won a few games last year on plays like that and it was almost about the same as a punt. It was throws like the one to Smith where it was underthrown and the db was underneath on the coverage or the completed pass he threw behind Smith.

I think Jake can still be decent, but he needs to just find the open man and get the ball there or throw it away, not try to wait on Smith to beat the rest of the defense or force it into him.

 

If I'm not mistaken, that was thrown behind the receiver wasn't it?

 

I like that we don't have a first rounder again this year. When things get down fucking idiots always whine that whatever their problem with the team is, needs to be that pick. Then I get all red in the ass over that sort of thing. So thank you, Carolina, for sending off the last year's and next year's first round pick. It's saved me two years of having to hear about who we should draft with that pick when people want to be done with the season already.

Fuck it, bad football's still better than any other sport.

fuck yeah it is. What the fuck else do I have to look forward to - niner basketball? I haven't looked forward to that in years. Even then I was kinda bullshitting. I mean, not that Niner basketball is worth looking forward to now, but good college basketball is better than bad pro football. I don't think the Dolphins or Panthers' season is over, it was just a bad day to watch football.

 

if you want to ignore Delhomme turning the ball over 10 times in his last two games, and looking like shit in the preseason, thats fine, but dont act like people are being irrational, and furthermore, be a prick doing it.

 

Who is starting QB next week?
Obviously I think we start back with Jake. We've got to go back and evaluate what happened to us. Without watching the tape, I don't think it was all Jake's fault.
