    Better than what people think..

    I'm glad to see people are feeling how I've felt this entire preseason. Sure things need to be sured up, but what do you expect when we have yet to have all our starters out there. During preseason it doesn't count so why put a starter in jeopardy? I have just been sick of all the criticism being poured in whether its over the radio, blogs, threads, tv, etc. saying that the Panthers are going to be awful this year. At least wait a few weeks into the regular season and see how things are shaping up. With the running backs we have, we don't need Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. Let me remind us all of something I remembered this morning.. Who was the QB for us when we started out 1-7 w.o Smith and came a game away from coming back outa that hole and making the postseason? Jake isn't as bad all the time as people want to make it out to be. He won 12 games for us last year and people want to focus on the 5 he lost. Granted the 5th one hurt the most, but I blame it more on the coaches for abandoning the run and asking Jake to drop back 30-40 times in that game and wing it.

    Hey Gotta.. remember tho we were 7-8 going into the last game and that was here at home against New Orleans and they beat us on a FG at the end. Jake still gave us a shot to get into the playoffs. Of course, that was also the year of Nick Goings turning into Edgar Bennett and performing like a 1st string tailback.

    Jake stinks!!!! With him 6-10, If he gets hurt early in the year we may do a little better.
