He's a stand alone beat writer for the Eagles. Very good coverage if you want to look into the latest happenings on the Eagles.

Comcast coverage, like ESPN for philly but not as douchey.

The good thing I guess for both teams is philly's O-line might make the Panthers D-line look better than it is and vice versa. At least the weaknesses line up.

Reading one of those articles, it sounds like we'll get to see Steve Smith taking on a rookie DB.

At safety, they should have vets down to the dimeback at CB.

Macho Harris (from VT, played CB in college, 5th round pick this past draft) is slated to start at the FS. He is the biggest question mark on the Eagles D, followed by the Middle linebacker position where Omar Gaither of Myers Park fame is getting the nod. Gaither started in 2007, then was sat down in favor of Stewart Bradley (out for the season) who might've been the best young MLB besides Beason last year. Steve Smith is going to likely get paired against Asante Samuel or Sheldon Brown, depending on the matchup Sean McDermott (eagles new DC) desides, but both are excellent cbs. Samuel makes the interceptions, Brown shuts guys down and hits like a ton of bricks.

the eagles were supposed to be upgrading their oline this off-season, but from what i have seen this pre-season, it has yet to happen. as a matter of fact, they look like shit up front. still, alot of pundits are picking them to have a great season. i dont know. i'll be interested to see what happens this sunday.....for both teams.

The Eagles O-line as projected has yet to play together. The starting left tackle, Jason Peters, hurt his quad in a conditioning drill so has only played limited time in preseason games 3 & 4. The projected right tackle and guard, the Andrews brothers, have both been injured the whole preseason. The left guard, Todd Herremans, injured his foot and should be out until week 3 or 4. The talent is there, but they always say lines need to gel before they can excel, and that line hardly has had any time to. But it won't be the same group that you've seen during the preseason.

I've never been impressed with Jason Peters. I don't understand the hype with him. The rest of their line is pretty solid, but Andrews at tackle will be an adjustment for a passing offense. With the injuries, we're definitely getting them at the right time, and our weakness at DT won't be exposed so much in this game as it probably will against the Falcons and Cowboys.

Stewart Bradley was going to be the heart of that defense. Nobody outside of Philly is really talking about that, but he's a significant loss for that front seven.

Peters has had good seasons and awful seasons, last year was lost due to the contract thing and I saw one Bills forum where someone had broken down each sack he allowed and said most of it came from Derrick Dockery sucking.

He fit the scheme better than either of the two backups ever could.
