    I don't look at the two situations as being analagous.

    It's that Kasay has become a Panther saint. He obviously has the ear of ownership, and it's likely they'd consult him about his replacement.

    I don't have any inside information, it's just that my observation about how the Panthers work makes this conclusion reasonable.

    If the team thinks it's time to replace him, he could likely and naturally want to keep his job so I can't see how they could give him any input into the situation whatsoever.
